LITHIUM-ION BATTERY WARNING AND USAGE INFORMATION

Lithium-Ion batteries are classified as dangerous goods for transport purposes. Failure to follow these instructions may result in fire, bodily injury, and/or property damage if charged or used improperly. Batteries and packs may explode and cause a fire if misused or defective.

BY RENTING/ PURCHASING A LITHIUM-ION BATTERY, EITHER AS PART OF A VEHICLE OR SEPARATELY, YOU ASSUME ALL RISKS ASSOCIATED WITH THE PRODUCT.

CHARGING:

• Allow the battery to cool down to room temperature before charging. Do not charge the battery right after removing them from a vehicle. For e-Mopeds, the power switch must be turned off first.
• Charge the battery at room temperatures of 50°F to 86°F, in an isolated area, away from combustible materials and heat sources. Do not cover the battery or charger while charging.
• USE CHARGERS RENTED/PURCHASED FROM WHIZZ ONLY. Using incompatible chargers may damage the battery as well as cause a fire, leading to bodily injury and property damage.
• Always monitor the charging process to ensure proper charging. DO NOT CHARGE THE BATTERY UNATTENDED, WHILE SLEEPING, OR FOR MORE THAN 7 HOURS.
• Place the battery on a non-flammable surface while charging and check for any signs of damage or overheating during the process.
• Discontinue charging immediately if the battery balloons, swells, smokes, or gets hot (above 95 °F). Disconnect the battery and observe it in a safe place for 15 minutes, as the battery may leak and ignite due to air exposure.
• Charge the battery directly from wall outlets; do not use extension cords.
• Remove the battery from the charger immediately upon completion of charge (when available, as soon as all 4 LED indicators are full).

STORAGE AND TRANSPORTATION:

• Store the battery at room temperatures of 50°F to 86°F. Storing at above 90°F may cause damage and potential fire. Storing at below 50°F may decrease the lifespan and performance of a battery.
• Do not expose the battery to direct sunlight, hot or wet environments (e.g. kitchens, parked cars, or any container that shares space with hot items) for extended periods.
• Keep lithium-ion batteries and chargers away from children.

BATTERY CARE:

• Both the battery and charger are high-tech electronic products and must not be opened arbitrarily to avoid leakage, overheating, smoking, fire, or explosion. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO OPEN OR REPAIR THE BATTERY OR CHARGER.
• In case of unusual heat, noise, smoke, odor, swelling, or an actual fire/explosion, stop using the battery immediately. Avoid touching it and call 911 immediately.
• To maximize battery lifespan and performance, keep the charge between 20% to 80%.
• Lower temperatures may somewhat affect the battery's charging and discharging capacity, and in winter, the range may be reduced, which is a normal phenomenon.
• Do not leave the battery outside in pouring rain. Always bring the battery inside after riding in the rain and let it dry at room temperature between 50°F and 86°F.
• Do not immerse the battery in water or clean it with a steam jet or high-pressure cleaner.

PRODUCT WARRANTY:

Any manufacturer’s product warranty is limited to original defects in material and workmanship. This warranty does not include damage resulting from misuse, abuse, incorrect charging, or other inappropriate use of this product. Whizz makes no separate express warranties and disclaims any implied warranties.
